Video: Flying Lotus “Mmmhmm”

It can’t be easy to make a video that matches the otherworldy nature of Flying Lotus, but the Special Problems creative studio have tackled the task with aplomb.

Check out their suitably hypnotic video for “Mmmhmm”, one of the more introspective moments on Fly Lo’s superb Cosmogramma LP, released earlier this year.  The track features the vocal and bass talents of Thundercat (of Sa-Ra Collective, Erykah Badu, Suicidal Tendencies), who also stars in the video.

Meanwhile, the full lineup to the Braindfeeder night in London has been announced, with UK born, LA based producer Kutmah, Werk Discs chief Actress and Hyperdub man Kode9 all set to appear alongside Flying Lotus at the Hearn St Car Park (full details below). It’ll be your only chance to see Mr Ellison in London this summer, with his upcoming shows at Tate Modern and the ICA already sold out.
