Stream a Marco Shuttle Solar Reshape
The Italian gives Taylor Deupree a cosmic and tripped-out remix for the Valence label.
The ambient heads out there will be no stranger to the work of New York’s Taylor Deupree, a Brooklyn-residing artist whose work boasts collaborations with Ryuichi Sakamoto to releases on labels like Room40 and 12K; his Captiva LP with Stephen Vitiello one of note. Marco Shuttle (pictured grinning ear-to-ear above) on the other hand is a name most familiar with techno boffins however remixes from the Italian are aren’t quite as common as his solo output. His last was a cosmic version of Domenico Crisci’s slamming 12″ on Shuttle’s own Eerie label, while others have surfaced on Restoration and other Italian platforms like The Monkey Bar Records and HomeMadeZucchero.
Shuttle and ROD, aka Benny Rodrigues, has been commissioned by Kevin ‘Ambivalent’ McHugh’s Valence label to rework some rare late ’90s Deupree material that originally appeared on Mono Junk’s DUM label. The Italian takes Deupree’s original “Untitled” cut and heads off beyond the rings of Saturn – stream it in full below.
