Pinch looks to a Latvian newcomer for the next release on the label.

Take a moment to survey the past three years of output on Cold Recordings and it becomes evident the label has developed into a platform to help launch newcomers in the ever evolving UK hardcore-continuum. Kicking off with Cardiff producer Elmono, Cold has gone on to help shape the production careers of Batu, Ipman and Acre among others, with Pinch himself being the more established anomaly to have put out a 12″ on Cold with 2014’s Burning Memories. Furthermore, it is telling that Ipman and Acre have since gone on to work with Pinch on his other, more-established operation Tectonic with both putting out excellent artist albums on the label last year.

With this in mind, it makes for no surprise to discover the next artist to feature on Cold Recordings is another unheralded name in the shape of W3C. Said to be based in Latvia, the upcoming four-track 12″ is the debut W3C offering as far as we can see which finds the producer delivering a palette of “industrial techno meets rolling UK-style broken rhythms”, all based around the 125-130bpm tempo range. To further demonstrate what that sounds like enjoy the broken rave notes and faulty electronics of our exclusive, noisy stream of the EP’s lead cut “Atmospheric Entry” below.

Cold Recordings will release Cold 008 by W3C on April 27.

Tracklisting:

A1: Atmospheric Entry
A2: Bile
AA1: Prometheus
AA2: Fire, Walk With Me
