Win a double pass to see Tama Sumo throw down for Make Me at their cosy loft space in Shoreditch on June 7.
“We always give our guests extended sets of at least three hours as we feel this is the best way to allow a DJ to open up and get right into the back of their record bag.” With a modus operandi like that it only makes sense that London promoter’s Make Me book Tama Sumo for their first time. It follows their most recent show that was a set of rhythmic techno drums by Donato Dozzy two weekends ago, but it’s likely Tama Sumo, one of Berlin’s best DJs, will provide the Shoreditch space with a housier and eclectic vibe, with her sets across the United Kingdom this year only being met with praise.
For a taste of what to expect from Sumo’s ever changing record bag we recommend you check out the mix she recorded for FACT last year, which by looking at the tracklisting fullfils the second half of what Make Me are about: “We use vinyl and book vinyl DJs, but we’re not purists. Ultimately it’s all about the music, the crowd and the vibe in the venue.”
