Kowton returns with a new Pale Fire plate

Stream a hefty chunk of the double pronged H-Street 12″ ahead of its release next month.

Pale Fire surfaced some eighteen months ago with Des Bisous, referred to in our review as a “a carnival anthem for the end of days” that showcased the now London-based Kowton’s talent for utilising space in his productions without ever coming close to sounding bare. In the period subsequent to the launch of Pale Fire, Kowton’s attentions have justifiably been focused on exploring the full potential of his Livity Sound project with Pev and Asusu which recently resulted in a hefty CD compilation.

Now Kowton is set to return with another slab of Pale Fire goodness in the shape of the H-Street 12″; available to preview below, the title track once again displays Kowton’s mastery of serrated percussion and grimy sub bass with a rhythmic arrangement that feels caught in a gravity-free environment. Amidst sirens, the B-side track “Helsinki Sunrise” sees Kowton invert the same elements with no compromise in terms of rhythmic ferocity.
