Listen: Al Gobi – Halfway House (Crooked Man “Halfway Crooked” Remix)

Listen to Crooked Man go deep on an 11-minute remix from the next Disco Bloodbath Recordings release.

Since launching the label in the summer, the long running East London club night has enjoyed a smooth transition into the art of releasing records, calling on a cast of contemporaries and local talent such as G&S, Capracara, Waze & Odyssey, Jamie Blanco to contribute along with premiering the production talents of Disco Bloodbathers Damon Martin and Ben Pistor.

Aside from an amusing name that hints at his favourite curry dish, little is known about Al Gobi, the man responsible for the label’s fifth release, though they’ve scored a coup in enlisting Crooked Man, Sheffield’s finest exponent of fraudulent disco, to remix “Halfway House” into 11 minutes of shuffling, dark electro funk replete with vocals from the man himself.
