Resident Advisor opens polls for 2010’s best live acts & DJs

The Christmas lights are up in Oxford St, the weather is rubbish and it’s dark at 4pm: yep, must be time for the end-of-year polls.

Influential online mag Resident Advisor opened voting for the Best DJ and Best Live Act awards this week, while DJ Mag announced the Best Of British nominees last Friday.

Will Richie Hawtin and Ricky Villalobos (pictured above) remain the men to beat over at RA, as often seems to be the case (the former beat the latter in 2009, while the positions were reversed in 2008), or will a new contender finally emerge in the post mnml era?

Meanwhile Moderat – the pleasing answer to the simple musical equation that is Modeselektor + Apparat – will be hoping to retain the Best Live Act crown.
