Nathan Fake remixes PVT
Industrious Australian trio PVT have announced a remix package featuring Border Community stalwart Nathan Fake and former Red Bull Music Academy participant Dorian Concept.
Fake has turned his hand to “Light Up Bright Fires”, while Dorian Concept – real name Oliver Thomas Johnson – has remixed “Window”. Both original tracks appeared on PVT’s recent album Church With No Magic, which we reviewed on these here pages a couple of weeks back.
Other remixes come from fellow Aussie acts Seekae and Danimals, ensuring there is a certain whiff of antipodean talent on this particular EP. We here at Juno Plus are particularly excited to see what Danimals pull out of the bag, having recently signed to Stones Throw Records, the US indie label famous for a roster that includes Madlib, Mayer Hawthorne, Dam-Funk and others.
The EP will be released on October 18 via Warp, by which time the band will have completed their short UK tour, which takes in dates in London, Bristol, Glasgow, Manchester, Brighton, Nottingham and Leeds.
They’ve also released a new video clip for “Light Up Bright Fires”, directed by Alex Smith (no, not that Alex Smith), which you can see above.
