The reverse key synth and unique tuner follow the announcement of the experimental Acoustic Synthesis prototype.
Following on from the announcement of the Acoustic Synthesis_phase8 prototype, Korg have revealed two new products set for release.
The ‘inverted’ Minilogue XD harks back to a few past Korg products, including the reverse key Poly-800 from the early-mid 80s and a limited edition MicroKorg release back in 2007. The inverted Monologue XD retains exactly the same functionality as the standard model, but with the black and white keys flipped. A cool look for a synth which was already one of our favourites.
Meanwhile, the ST1K is a new tuner aimed specifically at synth players. It’s a fair assumption that most of us tune our synths with a guitar tuner, but Korg have acknowledged that there are unique requirements when tuning synths, so the ST1K offers high precision, a 3D visual meter with three modes, and a built-in microphone.
The Korg Minilogue XD inverted edition is available to pre-order now, priced at £589. More news on the ST1K when we get it.
