Arturia have announced a major firmware update for the MicroFreak, and a limited-edition version of the synth to go with it. The concept is still the same – digital oscillators feeding into an analogue filter – but the MicroFreak Stellar gets a space-themed paint job to go with its unorthodox touch-sensitive keyed. The V5 firmware update includes major new features such as sample import, a new Sample engine and three new Granular engines.
The Arturia MicroFreak Stellar is available to pre-order now, priced at £329.
