Cold War Steve directs video for Sleaford Mods

Rees-Mogg, Boris, Sunak, Hancock and Gove among the ‘stars’ in new Sleafords video

Cold War Steve, the digital college artist whose pictures have long satirised the Tory government, has directed the new video for Sleaford Mods, shared today.

The animated promo is for the title track of UK Grim, the follow up to 2021’s Spare Ribs, with the LP set for release on March 10 through Rough Trade.

Among the highlights in the video are recreations of the Downing Street parties – with Boris Johnson’s infamous quote on Covid “let the bodies pile high” scrawled on the wall in blood – plus an Eton College caught in a pupil riot, Nigel Farage in a bin and a seemingly ubiquitous Sting complete with lute.
