IWD 22 – gallery of public art created for Lady of the House’s week long Bristol event, plus Top 10
After ‘Lady of the House’ the book comes the event
Lady of the House, the team that created the book of the same name last year, chronicling the role women have played in dance music culture, is hosting a parallel event in Bristol across this week.
As well as high profile names from the house community such as Eats Everything and Lisa Lashes, there are art installation debuts from Sita Abellan and Katya Kov and a connected street poster campaign of images from Sita’s specially curated art installation.
The event opened with an under 18s community day yesterday, with two public days of panels and masterclasses, ending with a closing party at Lost Horizon, the venue hosting it in Bristol.
Guests and speakers include Radio 1 DJ’s Sarah Story and Charlie Tee, Eats Everything, AmyElle, Lisa Lashes and many more and rounding off with a real After oarty with Charlie Tee, A For Alpha, Tee Tee & The Yard Woman and a Virtual Rave in the Lost Horizon metaverse with Nicole Moudaber, Carl Cox and Barbara Tucker.
What’s more, the team behind the event have created their own current Top 10 of classics and current bubblers from the Juno archive
