Trentemøller has released a new single, ‘No More Kissing In The Rain’, taken from his upcoming sixth studio album Memoria, scheduled for release in February.
The single’s music video appears as a synth opera shot on oversaturated film. The track itself features the voice of singer Lisbet Fritze, who sings of urgent, loving need: “My dear, I am running out of time / is this the end of everything?”
The track touches on supernatural and cosmic themes. According to the artist, intends to give the impression of comfort in darkness, while light burgeons only a short distance away.
The Danish composer, musician and producer’s sixth album is said to traverse both familiar and unfamiliar sonic ground, and being an electronic ‘space pop album’, explores themes of transience and continuance. It follows his last album, Obverse, released in 2019.
