Leftfield pairing caught in action on 2019 Norther American tour

Dirk Dresselhaus (Schneider TM, Locust Fudge) and Ilpo Valsanen (Pan Sonic) aka Die Angel issue a new collaborative live album, Live In Austin. next month.

With Dresselhaus on prepared electric guitar and effects, and Valsanen on electronics, the album was recorded in June 2019 at the Barracuda Bar in Austin, USA, and show off the pair’s synergy as live musicians, and their improvisational approach to electronic music performance.

With the event forming part of Die Angel’s North America tour in 2019, the Barracuda Bar in which they played the show has now closed down as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, making the recording all the more special in the eyes of the artists.

Live In Austin is expected on November 19 via Erototox Decodings, on silver vinyl with a printed inner sleeve.
