Soft Cell announce first new album for 20 years, plus Non Stop Erotic Cabaret anniversary tour
Say hello, wave goodbye to the duo next spring

Soft Cell have announced their first new album for 20 years, following a pre-pandemic reunion show at 02 in London. Marc Almond says of the album: “In this album I wanted to look at us as a society: a place where we have chosen to put profits before people, money before morality and decency, food before the rights of animals, fanaticism before fairness and our own trivial comforts before the unspeakable agonies of others. But in the album there is also a belief that there is a utopia if we can peel back the layers and understand what really matters.” Happiness Not Included, their fifth album, is due out in Spring 2022 and the iconic synthpop duo are out on the road in Autumn 2021. The live shows mark the 40th anniversary of the band’s 1981 debut Non-Stop Erotic Cabaret – tickets go on sale at 10am on Friday August 6. |
