John B announces two Trance & Bass livestreams this weekend on Twitch

Melodic drum n’ bass pioneer John B has announced two ‘Trance & Bass’ livestreams this weekend on his Twitch channel.

Named after his 2003 ‘Trance & Bass’ mix for Mixmag – which has gone down in history as an important mix in drum n’ bass DJ history – the new livestreams are his way of returning to the concept, with John revisiting the tracks on the mix, and performing a live extended version.

“I’ve been wanting to do an update for a while. As a step towards that I’m revisiting the mix and performing it live on Twitch with an extra hour as an EXTENDED version on Friday! Then on Sunday I will be performing a VINYL ONLY Trance & Bass-Era DJ set also on Twitch!”

The streams can be watched live on Twitch at 8pm UK time on Friday & Sunday at www.twitch.tv/johnbbeta. Additionally, all archive streams can be found on John B’s YouTube channel.

The Reading-based d&b don also has his early 90s classic ‘The Depths’ reissued on vinyl this week, backed by another tune liberated from the vaults, ‘Apollo’.
