Proibito announce new Huerco S. album
For Those Of You Who Have Never (And Also Those Who Have) will arrive in June.
The debut Huerco S. album may have arrived through Daniel Lopatin’s Software label, but Kansas City-raised producer Brian Leeds is now more readily associated with the Proibito label overseen by Anthony Naples. It was another Leeds alias, Royal Crown Of Sweden, that introduced the label back in 2013 and he’s gone on to feature on Proibito in several other manifestations since then with last year’s Huerco S. 12″, Railroad Blues, a particular favourite here at Juno Plus. It makes perfect sense therefore that Proibito have been granted the honours of releasing the second Huerco S. album which doubles up as the second full length on the label following the Body Pill LP from Anthony Naples issued in cahoots with Text.
Due out in June, the album arrives with the unwieldy title For Those Of You Who Have Never (And Also Those Who Have) and looks set to build on the meditative and ambient aspects to Leeds’ production palette that were hinted at on the debut Huerco S. album. A brief press release from Proibito describes the nine-track set as “monolithic and stark but extremely warm, intensely personal, and for every one in every which way.”
Proibito will release For Those Of You Who Have Never (And Also Those Who Have) by Huerco S on June 6.
