Listen to a Fit Siegel edit of unknown Detroit new wave act
The track features on an upcoming 7″ from the man’s Est. 83 Records.
Aaron ‘Fit’ Siegel’s tireless work ethic was profiled on this site earlier this year by Oli Warwick, whilst the core editorial at Juno Plus witnessed it first hand recently during his mammoth six-hour DJ set in a humid Krakow basement club for Unsound festival. The next release on Siegel’s Fit offshoot Est. 83′ Records is a testament to this ethic, more specifically his digging skills as the label prepares a 7″ release of some unknown Detroit band he discovered on a demo cassette. As the label excitedly proclaims in all caps, “There is no info as to who, when, or where this demo was recorded…but it was just too good to not share it!” Siegel’s own Fit Edit can be heard below and should excite any fans of ramshackle punk funk like The Slits or ESG.
