More In Aeternam Vale due on Minimal Wave

All facets of the prolific Lyon artist are on display with the forthcoming Gnd Lift 12″.

The work of the humble and amusing Laurent Prot has proved a plentiful source for Minimal Wave in recent times with two albums on the label followed by a succession of excellent 12″ releases that demonstrated the Lyon-based artist to be something of a techno pioneer. Thanks to these endeavours from Minimal Wave, the In Aeternam Vale project has been widely embraced with Prot turning in a highlight performance of this year’s Berlin Atonal festival, releasing on Jealous God and remixing Casino Shanghai and Ligovskoi for Mannequin and Dement3d respectively.

When Prot spoke to Juno Plus earlier this year, he revealed off the record there was more In Aeternam Vale material due on Minimal Wave at some point in the future, and now the label have confirmed the exact details. Due for release in early December, the Gnd Lift 12″ consists of three unreleased tracks, with the title production one of Prot’s trademark extended techno adventures clocking in at a mighty 14 minutes. Complementing this are two tracks which reference the Wave based experiments of Prot’s ’80s output as In Aeternam Vale – you can watch a video of him performing “Ja’i Mangé Des Nerfs” recently below. This edition of Gnd Lift comes pressed on 160 gram clear transparent deep purple vinyl, accompanied by a hand-numbered matte printed sleeve.

Minimal Wave will release Gnd Lift by In Aeternam Vale on December 1.
