The latest commission for Barbé is perhaps his most ambitious work so far, taking the shape of a 45-minute video delivered to Lyon label CLFT to promote their forthcoming release from 2030, a Italian producer otherwise known as Kaelen.
Out now on cassette, 2030’s The World Is On Track For Disaster inaugurates a new series from CLFT themed around concepts of retro-futurism, with the vintage Transmat vibe of the music more than complemented by the below visual trip from Barbé, which reinterprets obscure imagery and demo tapes of early computer graphics.
