Glowing Palms in the mix for Good Block

Grab a killer blend of smudged boogie and leftside disco from the Ruf Kutz affiliate for the Good Block crew.

Roving London party Good Block are a bunch of vinyl gripping selectors who have been treating the dancehalls of Peckham, Dalston and more to their dust-laden boogie for the past two years. It turns out Good Block are also Good Eggs, as us English once said, with their next event a charitable affair planned in order to raise money for The Friends of Urambo & Mwanhala charity. The Tanzanian charity was founded by the grandparents of Good Blockers Tom and Pete Davies back in the ’60s and has remained integral in the assistance of farming, irrigation, education and healthcare facilities.

With the organisation celebrating its 50th year, Tom and Pete Good Block are heading to Tanzania in August to participate in workshops and help out, and ahead of their departure the crew are taking over the basement of Ace Hotel for a one off party to raise some funds towards the charity. Taking place next Friday, June 13, Good Block have assembled an impressive lineup that features Esa & Mervin Granger, vintage car fancier Glowing Palms, and the ubiquitous Bradley Zero doing a B2B expression session with Phonica selector Nick Williams. Donations of £5 or more will get you entry and full details on the event can be found here.

Ahead of the event, Glowing Palms has laid down fifty minutes of sunshine blessed sounds as a taste of what to expect which you can stream or download below. No tracklisting provided!
