Legowelt set for PPU bow

Preview the prolific Dutchman’s forthcoming record for the excellent D.C.-based label.

Long-term fans of Andrew Morgan’s perennially on-point People’s Potential Unlimited label will recall Legowelt first tussled with the imprint two years ago, remixing Detroit techno precursor Go Bananas by Superlife along with Max D, Steve Summers and Peanut Butter Wolf. Fast forward to 2014 and Danny Wolfers is set for his full PPU bow with the Los Alamos Hotel 12″, which comes with the excellent Prosumer-approved Pender Street Steppers record for the label still on office rotation. A healthy nine-minute preview of the four tracks is available for your listening pleasure below, and the record finds Mr Wolfers in typically stargazing mode with the downtrodden analogue funk of “Pure Smudge” a particular gem.
