Listen to a minimix of Trevor Jackson’s Metal Dance 2
Get a taste for Strut’s forthcoming Metal Dance sequel, covering rarities from 1979 to 1988.
As previously reported, Metal Dance 2 widens the remit of the first compilation released by Strut in 2012, which sees Trevor Jackson collate material from the period 1979 to 1988. The forthcoming album features music from the likes of known acts Ministry, Front 242, Chris & Cosey and Skinny Puppy, while also featuring true rarities from Visage, Experimental Products and CHBB – a band whose members went on to form DAF – to Vice Versa who went on to form UK synth pop group ABC.
The double 12″ album also features a Trevor Jackson edit of Rusty Egan, the former drummer for the British new wave band Rich Kids, while Rabih Beaini brings some industrial Lebanese flair to the compilation with an edit of “Tanki Tanki” by the ’80s Lebanese punk and electro band Rene Bandaly Family.
