D’Marc Cantu next for Sequencias

The Nation and Créme artist teams up with Sequencias boss JM De Frias for the upcoming I Have No Eyes, And I Must See EP – preview it here.

The New York-based label is quietly becoming one of the city’s most intriguing techno operations, quietly enlisting artists such as Aroy Dee, Jamal Moss, Willie Burns, Specter and Orpheus (aka Nigel ‘Perseus Trax’ Rogers), whilst each of the seven Sequencias releases thus far have also featured some memorable titles. This much is true of Disparate Implementations, the 12″ with which D’Marc Cantu made his Sequencias debut last year alongside fellow Nation cohort Melvin Oliphant III, both appearing under the respective dcantu and ViLLan X aliases.

It’s under this shortened name that Cantu makes his return to Sequencias for the superbly named I Have No Eyes, And I Must See EP, which features solo productions from himself and label boss JM De Frias as well as a collaborative cut “The Last Light”. For label owner De Frias, this 12″ is a chance to show how his sound has developed since his track “Intrinsic Motivation” opened last year’s Fabric 63 mix from Levon Vincent.
