Watch: Secret Circuit – Nebula Sphynx

In his review of Secret Circuit’s Nebula Sphynx, Juno Plus scribe Matt Anniss memorably described the title track as “the music of robotic, circuit board-loving monkeys”; perhaps “deranged carwash acid” is a more apt description if this video is anything to go by.

Directed by Eddie Ruscha (aka Secrer Circuit), Steve Hanft and Ashley Dunn, it offers a neat visual accompaniment to a wonderfully visceral piece of music. Released this month on Tim Sweeney’s Beats In Space imprint, it again displayed the New York radio host’s penchant for releasing music from artists operating on the margins of the scene.
