RVNG have today released a trailer for a forthcoming documentary about their latest FRKWYS project, which saw Sun Araw and M. Geddes Gengras team up with legendary dub reggae outfit The Congos.

Directed by Tony Lowe and produced in association with by Killer Films and Search Party, ICON EYE is the New York label’s first dalliance with the world of film. It was co-produced by Sam Fleischner, who also shared cinematography duties with Lowe.

The project saw Sun Araw (real name Cameron Stallones) and M. Geddes Gengras travel to St Catherine, Jamaica, and produce a seven-track LP, entitled ICON GIVE THANK, in collaboration with The Congos.

RVNG Intl will release FRKWYS Vol. 9 and the ICON EYE film on April 10, 2012, on CD, DVD, and LP/DVD formats, and as a digital bundle.
