Scuba’s Adrenalin rush
Hotflush Recordings boss Paul Rose will return with the first original material under his Scuba moniker since 2010 album Triangulation, with the three track Adrenalin EP due out in September.
The Berlin-based Brits’ two pseudonyms – SCB, an outlet for techno, and the traditionally dubstep leaning Scuba – continue to merge and cross pollinate. As such, the title track for this EP is a crackling 4/4 number, with the titular vocal refrain incredibly bewitching, dare we say even a bit euphoric, upon first listen. Indeed the two accompanying tracks – “Never” and “Everywhere” – both come dipped in a housey, dancefloor-friendly sheen.
So far in 2011 Rose has released an EP on Will Saul’s Aus Music imprint (as SCB), and has also overseen the release of Back And 4th, a compilation that charted the past, present and future of his influential label.
The Adrenalin EP will be released via Hotflush on September 26, 2011.
