Dehnert returns to Clone with Oblique
Fachwerk boss Mike Dehnert will follow up his recent Framework album with and EP due shortly on Clone’s Basement Series.
Oblique sees Dehnert adopt a more leftfield approach to the relentless the 4/4 thump purveyed on Framework, with a straight kick appearing on just one of the four tracks. Upon first listen, opening cut “Plonger” stands out as a highlight, with its clunking rhythms and tearing bass. Oblique marks the German producer’s third appearance on the Clone sub-label following the Umlaut2 and Lautschrift 12″s, both released in 2009.
A release date has not been set – keep an eye on Juno Plus for more details as they emerge. In the meantime you can listen to samples of all four EP cuts via the Soundcloud player below.
