Arturia show some Spark

French synthesizer manufacturers Arturia have unveiled a new analogue, physical modelling and sampling drum machine, Spark.

Included are analogue recreations in the spirit of the TR-808, TR-909, Simmons SDS-V, and Eprom based LinnDrum, Drumtraks, DMX, and many more.

Spark also embeds a broad library (480 instruments and 30 kits) of electronic and acoustic drums covering all music styles including house, funk, jazz and techno produced by big names for high quality audio realism, multi-layered for accurate velocity response.

Controls include a 16 key, 64 step sequencer, 8 velocity sensitive drum pads, an expressive FX pad and assignable encoders all mounted within a high quality aluminum chassis.

The included software boasts integration with existing studio set-ups, as both a plug-in and standalone (VST, AU, RTAS).

The easy importation of audio samples, MIDI files and Rex loops, plus the drag and drop export capabilities of MIDI and Audio patterns into the users DAW make the possibilities impressive. Check out the video below for more information.
