Villalobos remix gets release on DFA
In yet another intriguing artist/label matchup, Chilean minimal techno don Ricardo Villalobos will release material on New York disco imprint DFA this month, FACT magazine has reported.
His contribution to the label comes in the shape of a remix of Ndf, the production duo of Bruno Pronsato (real name Steven Ford) and Sergio Giorgini (real name Benjamin Myers).
Ricardo’s rework of “Since We Last Met” sounds suitably epic, stretching out the track to nearly three times its original length. The release will drop on 12″ and digital formats on August 30 – but in the meantime you can listen to a preview via the Juno player below.
The news comes in the same month that Warp announced an album deal with Brian Eno and French electro imprint Ed Banger revealed a one-off hookup with Squarepusher. What next!?
