Deadmau5 collapses on stage
Canadian producer Deadmau5 has cancelled nine tour dates after collapsing on stage at a gig in Washington on Saturday night.
Citing exhaustion as the reason for the fall, the producer (real name Joel Zimmerman) has called off a host of dates from his summer tour, which included dates in Croatia, Greece and Spain.
A statement issued by the producer’s management said: “Last night, whilst performing onstage at the 9.30 club in Washington DC, Deadmau5 collapsed, suffering exhaustion and vomiting. Medics at the venue took him directly to hospital where he is now under supervision. Deadmau5 is sad to advise his fans that on the strict advice of the doctors, he now has no choice but to cancel the next nine shows of his summer tour schedule to allow for his recovery”.
Deadmau5’s next UK show is at Creamfields on August 28, by which time he is expected to back in business.
