Tiga features in Chilly Gonzales vid
Adam Traynor has directed the video for Chilly Gonzales‘ new single “I Am Europe”, which boasts an impressive guest appearance from Tiga.
Those in any doubt of the Turbo boss’s acting abilities need only check out this clip to have their fears assuaged – it’s a sterling performance from the Canadian crooner – indeed at one point his leopard print singlet threatens to steal the limelight.
Gonzales’s entertaining abilities have never been in doubt, and this single shows how the Grammy nominated artist has successfully taken piano music to the dancefloor. It also has some of the best lyrics in recent memory: “I’m socialist lingerie, I’m diplomatic techno, I’m gay pastry and racist cappuccino. I am Europe.”
He will release his new album Ivory Tower on August 30, with Boys Noize on production duties (Tiga, Feist and Peaches all appear in various guises too).
Londoners can check out the pianist at this weekend’s Field Day festival.
