This week at Juno

The new Sandwell District 12″s arrived this week, then promptly buggered off again as they flew off the shelves and rocketed to the top of the Juno charts.

It’s little wonder too – with the first edition of a two part sampler offering the usual deep and dark brilliance from the mysterious techno alliance. And they’re printed on clear vinyl. The second part is out at the end of the month – you have been warned.

There was also the 11th instalment of the Super Value edits series, some Revenge disco business on Needwant and Nick Thayer’s much hyped new album, which effortlesslty blends hip-hop, electro, dubstep and breakbeat.

Over at Juno Download, Lil Silva’s Night Skanker EP on Night Slugs won the ‘banger of the week’ category hands down. Ital Tek’s debut album on Planet Mu further blurred the lines of the post-dubstep realm, while James Blake took his bow with a R&B drenched EP on the legendary R&S imprint (check out the Juno Plus review here).

There was also the Kenny Larkin remix package on Planet E, plus Trentemoller’s new album and whole load more.
