After making a pretty good effort at keeping the world guessing as to their true identity, NYC disco duo Golden Filter emerged from the shadows with a couple of stellar singles in 2009.

Last week they released their keenly antipcated debut album Voluspa, along with a promo video (above). Here we get a further glimpse of Penelope’s claim as heir to Alison Goldfrapp’s throne as leader of the beguiling disco beauties.

This beatless video sees Peneolpe’s ethereal voice whispering amid the drone of moody synths and delicate keys. Voluspa is out now on Juno Download and Juno Records.
