DJ T mixes new fabric CD

Get Physical boss DJ T – aka Thomas Koch – has been selected to compile the 51st fabric mix CD, which will be out next month.

As Resident Advisor reported this morning, the latest instalment of the ongoing series will be released on March 22, and features tracks from the likes of Danton Eeprom, Matias Aguayo and Bodycode.

Koch had his own return to form with his 2009 album The Inner Jukebox, which teetered playfully on the lines of deep, tech and classic house.

Here’s what he had to say about the mix: “While I usually mix from a more ‘functional’ DJ perspective, this mix is the product of my current super-positive emotional state and definitely not your average dance floor fodder—at least half of these tracks would never find their way into my DJ bag. Aesthetically speaking, it is more of a shimmering, sparkling disco funk concoction, a nod to the old school, but also 100 per cent in the here and now.”
