David Byrne/Fatboy Slim collaborate

Former Talking Heads frontman David Byrne has revealed his Here Lies Love collaboration with Fatboy Slim will finally see the light of day in 2010.

Byrne and Slim, aka Norman Cook, have compiled a 2xCD release, with the likes of Florence Welch (of Florence + The Machine), Sia, Santigold, Nellie McKay, Sharon Jones, St. Vincent and Róisín Murphy all lending their vocal talents.

All songs are written about the “Steel Butterfly” aka the former First Lady of the Philippines Imelda Marcos. The package includes two CDs (22 songs), a DVD with six videos, and a 100-page book that explains it all.

“I am pretty excited about this, but who knows, it might just make people crazy,” said Byrne in a recent email to his fans.

Here Lies Love will be released on February 23, 2010.
