Legowelt’s The TEAC Life album to get vinyl release

Dutch producer Legowelt has announced that his recent album The TEAC Life will get a richly deserved vinyl pressing.

Legowelt – real name Danny Wolfers – gave the digital version of the album away for free (or a nominal donation) earlier this year, causing a bit of a stir in the process thanks to the highly humorous rant that accompanied the album on his website. Of more importance was the music itself, which resolutely shimmered with an exotic charm – check out our full review here.

News that the album will be released over no less than four slabs of wax, and will include all 14 tracks that appeared on the digital version, will please Legowelt’s considerable following immensely. Intriguingly, the release seems to have been pressed up by the man himself, and will come out on the newly minted Legowelt imprint. The move seems to have been prompted by public demand, with Wolfers revealing he had fielded a “zillion requests” for a physical release.

The highly prolific producer operates under a myriad of different aliases (including Nacho Patrol, House Of Jezebel and, most recently, Seaside Houz Boyz), and has been in typically swaggering form this year, releasing music on Crème Organization, Echovolt and Long Island Electrical Systems among others, while a slew of his classic Bunker Records 12″s received timely reissues.

No word on a general release date yet but keep an eye on Juno Plus for more details as they emerge.
