Win: Free tix to Field Day

Field Day’s annual descent onto the green climes of East London’s Victoria Park is approaching steadily – naturally we wouldn’t want our readers to miss out and the organisers have kindly offered up a free pair of tickets.

Now in its sixth year, the lineup for 2011 edition of Field Day is possibly the most diverse to date and definitely the strongest. No doubt the showcase performance will be Carl Craig doing a special live set of his seminal 69 material, whilst other headline names involved include the likes of Michael Mayer, Warpaint, Erol Alkan, Zola Jesus, Jimmy Blake and the intriguing prospect of Four Tet and James Holden DJing back to back.

Elsewhere perennial Juno Plus favourites like Actress Factory Floor, Mount Kimbie and Pearson Sound stand out on a  lineup plump with highlights. Echoing the diverse nature of previous events, the organisers have also secured performances from cultish lo fi acts such as Ariel Pink’s Haunted Graffiti, Hype Williams, Glasser and Ducktails, whilst there is space for legends like Willie Mason and John Cale. Omar Souleyman, Sun Ra Arkestra and Congolese act Konono N°1 meanwhile add a different flavour, while bands like The Horrors, Wild Beasts and a re-emergent Electrelane provide the requisite guitar action.

For a chance to win,  simply need to peruse the full lineup here and pluck out the name you would most like to see on the day of the festival and post it in the comments section below.

The competition will close at 2pm Monday July 11 (GMT) and the winner will be notified via email shortly after.

Update: This competition has now now closed and the winner has been notified – many thanks to all that participated!
