George FitzGerald readies Silhouette for Aus

As mentioned in an interview with Juno Plus earlier this year, Will Saul’s Aus imprint continue their efforts to build on a strong 2010, with full details emerging of a new EP from George FitzGerald.

Already this year Aus have treated us to releases from Hotflush boss Paul Rose under his SCB guise and two more examples of Midland’s deviations between house and dubstep – which also included that awesome Tevo Howard remix! FitzGerald’s flowering potential as shown on two Hotflush releases is demonstrated further on his debut drop for Aus.

The slinky twilight house rhythms of “Silhouette” are complemented by the shimmering vocal edits that characterise “Reset”. Excitingly, Aus have enlisted Dial posterboy John Roberts to remix “Silhouette” and the results are a startling excursion into broken rhythms, drunken synths and heavily dosed vocals.

This release is just one aspect of what is shaping up to be a breakthrough year for FitzGerald, with remixes for Brawther and Throwing Snow due alongside a further EP for Hotflush, as well as his involvement in the Man Make Music label set up by the arch London promoters of the same name.

Aus will release the Silhouette EP by George FitzGerald on June 20 across vinyl and digital formats.
