Sonar unveil 2011 festival details

The organisers for Sonar Festival have announced that Steve Reich will open the 2011 edition of the long running Barcelona based electronic music and arts festival which will take place on the weekend of June 16 -18.

In addition to a gala performance from the legendary minimalist composer on the Thursday evening which traditionally precedes the madness, organisers have also confirmed that the Croydon triumvate of Benga, Skream and Artwork will bring their ubiquitous popstep Magnetic Man show to the 18th edition of the event.  Magnetic Man have also been confirmed to play the second edition of Sonar Galicia in A Coruna.

Furthermore, A Taste Of Sonar will return to London for a sixth time in March 2011 before a fourth edition of SonarSound Tokyo takes place in April.
