Juno Daily – In The Mix: Kit Grill

Give it a Grilling

Inspired by off-kilter pop, minimal synth, acid house, post-punk, ambient, and techno, as well as gothic art and renaissance architecture, London electronic experimentalist Kit Grill has made music for everyone from Calvin Klein to Tate Modern, as well as a string of key releases for the Primary Colours label.

Kit’s also made forays into photography, painting, and video, and is the host of his own NTS Radio show every month. A short film he’s soundtracked for Acrtery’x on climbing is another project currently in the works.

If that wasn’t enough, he’s recently released the new EP ‘Opal’. Signalling a shift of direction from his previous output, it’s a work of pure, hypnotic techno, rave euphoria and luminous dubwise electronics, described as “music for fast-paced days, long nights & heavyweight soundsystems”.

To celebrate, we asked Kit to put together a mix especially for Juno Daily, which he introduces below:

“This mix features some of my new tracks from ‘Heat’ and the ‘Opal’ EP plus two unreleased tracks and then some music at the end that I enjoy / are inspirations to me.”
