Juno Daily – In The Mix: Avilynn @ Tresor

Live and direct from Berlin’s most legendary venue

Avilynn is renowned for pushing the boundaries of techno and her debut 3xCD set at the world famous Tresor in Berlin at the end of last month is no exception.

Juno customers will know her not only for her own releases as a music maker but also the series of collaborations she’s been putting out on her own stable, the wonderfully named Not On Label. The latest, titled ‘Hypnosis’ and made with Tel Aviv multi-disciplinary musician Rami Moscovich, is just out.

But her DJ sets are also the stuff of legend. Playing the Tresor venue’s Singularity night on January 27, she treated the audience to a set of non-stop atmopsheric techno that bubbles away and slowly builds towards an explosive climax.

“It was a transformative experience for me too,” she told us “Singularity delivers quality bookings and it’s always packed, even in the middle of the week. It was especially great to see 107777 – a local collective who are active in Berlin and have great taste in music– down there and enjoying it.”
