Ghost Dubs to make UK live debut alongside The Bug and Shackleton

Night will be ‘uncompromisingly hardcore and deeply intense” promises The Bug

Ghost Dubs is to make his UK live debut alongside his Pressure label boss The Bug, former Roll Deep Crew MC Flowdan and bass hero Shackleton at an event in Leeds next month.

The debut album from Ghost Dubs, Damaged, was one of last year’s unexpected underground smashes, being repressed numerous times in the months after its August release on The Bug’s Pressure label.

The three room event, which runs from 11pm-6am on February 1 at Beaver Works in Leeds, also features the Iration Steepers, Entebbe and Concrete Lion sound systems, Shackleton (live) and the The Bug with Flowdan and Manga Saint Hilare, Grandmixxer and Firmly Rooted Sound System. Drum & bass thrills from Skeptical, DJ Flight and others are on offer in room three.

The Bug aka Kevin Martin told Juno Daily: “It’s always a pleasure to return to SUBDUB with one of my PRESSURE parties again, as it was SUBDUB that inspired me to set up PRESSURE parties in Berlin in the first place. Due to the lack of decent nights and bass heavy rigs that mixed heavyweight dub, grime and dubstep all on the same bill, I wanted to promote a night that would do exactly that with my own PRESSURE rig and parties.

“Feb 1st marks the UK debut of GHOST DUBS, and also acts as a launch party for his mini album Extended Damaged Versions which drops today via PRESSURE. It’s a pleasure for me, to invite our room full of sonic misfits, freaks and troublemakers and offer a night that is uncompromisingly hardcore and deeply intense, especially knowing the mighty Iration Steppas host room 1 next door, as it was Iration who inspired me greatly in my early days as The Bug to embark on a life of sound system warfare! Lol… Major shout out to Simon SUBDUB for inviting me back to curate another night of bass heavy madness under the PRESSURE banner in Leeds…”
