Premiere: Alderaan’s chugging atmospheric techno triumph ‘Transition’

We tipped you off about the great electronic sounds we thought would come out of South America at the start of 2024 – see our 24 For 2024 tip here – and our instinct proved to be correct.

Argentinian artist Alderaan, for example, is preparing to drop his second EP ‘Transition’ on the Danza Nativa label, a four track affair bulging with sturdy, atmospheric techno delights including a top remix from Psyk. The label – currently celebrating their fifth birthday with a period of especially productive releases – and artist have kindly let Juno Daily premiere the title track right now, ahead of it hitting the shops on September 23.

“‘Transition’ is the title track of my second EP on Danza Nativa,” Alderaan told us. “The song consists of the idea of synths that evolve slightly and interact with textures throughout the song. The idea was to make a track as linear as possible and tell a subtle and enveloping story for the listener, but at the same time be interesting for people on a dance floor.

“It’s the kind of music I like to play, because it allows me to create different landscapes in my sessions, and I’m very happy with the final result of the song, as well as with Psyk’s remake of it.”
