Mystic V, Peter Jericho and Kai Alcé on new Léman EP ‘In Search For The Good’

Alcé contribute two mixes to the new 12″

Mystic V, a Swiss producer and DJ based in Lausanne (pictured) and the co-founder of the label Léman Records, debuted last summer with ‘Ever Since That Day I Met You’.

Second time round, he’s enlisted two esteemed talents to join the party on the four track ‘In Search For The Good’ EP. Firstly, singer Peter Jericho adds some honeyed, sweet vocal tones to both ‘Miracles’ and the slightly more tech-slanted ‘All One’s Hopes’. Then, Atlantan legend Kai Alcé comes on board and delivers not one but two mixes of ‘Miracles’, one instrumental and one vocal and both “bursting with the life-affirming, soul-stirring sounds we all know and love from the US legend”, according to our reviewer.

Alcé tells us that the old skool flavour of his mixes was inspired by Jericho’s vocals, harkign back to classic spirutual house of the 80s.

“Peter’s vocals on ‘Miracles’ immediately gave me uplifting feelings,” he says, “which brought up great memories on days past, hence the throwback foundation of the remix. ‘Miracles’ is ready for the summer!”

Jericho, meanwhile, says: “My Family is from Africa.  We are from a fruitful land that, a lot of times, we don’t benefit from.  When you’ve seen people struggle to find their way, you ask yourself if there is a God. And if so, does he have a purpose for your life.

“I personally have been adjacent to my purpose through collaborative efforts with others across the world. Creating sounds and feelings that can inspire people to wake up and search for their miracles. Their Pot of God might not be far-fetched.”
