Juno Daily – In The Mix: AURAGRAPH
‘Stranger Things’ man setting New Standards

AURAGRAPH is an experimental audio/visual synth-based recording project by Texas born Hector Carlos Ramirez. Currently based in Los Angeles, California, Carlos played in several bands within the punk scene in Laredo, Texas before a move to Austin, Texas prompted his fascination with synths, samplers and visual art.
Carlos has score mix engineered and composed for notable shows including Netflix’s Stranger Things and National Geographic’s Valley of The Boom – collaborating with composers Kyle Dixon and Michael Stein of the band S U R V I V E. AURAGRAPH was established in 2018 after years of producing electronic music under several different project names, and the project’s blend of minimalism, ambient and lo-fi synthesis with upbeat drum patterns is showcased to perfection on New Standard, its second album, out November 17 through the Dais label.

Ramirez has kindly taken to the decks to weave us a glorious hour of grooves. He told us it was made up of “what’s been on repeat as of late in the studio, including some unreleased tracks sprinkled throughout”
