The new scratch-focussed controller introduces Auto BPM Transition and Piano Play.
Newly announced by Pioneer, the DDJ-REV5 controller slots in neatly between the entry-level DDJ-REV1 and high-end DDJ-REV7 as the mid-range option for scratch DJs. Designed mainly for Serato but also compatible with Rekordbox DVS, the REV5 packs an impressive feature set, featuring large jog wheels with adjustable feel, a Magvel crossfader, paddle effects, performance pads and dedicated controls giving instant real-time access to Stems. A new Auto BPM Transition feature allows you to transition across a wide tempo range, while the new Piano Play lets you trigger cue points chromatically using the 16 performance pads like a piano keyboard. You can see it in action above.
The Pioneer DDJ-REV5 is available to pre-order now, priced at £939.
