The PLX-CRSS12 is a conventional turntable and also a Serato/Rekordbox DVS controller.
Newly announced by Pioneer DJ, the PLX-CRSS12 is a hybrid analogue-digital turntable, the world’s first to combine analogue vinyl playback with tonearm-free DVS control. In crude terms, it’s a bit like a PLX-1000 turntable crossed with a Rane Twelve controller, giving you the best of both worlds. DVS features include adjustable record weight, customisable torque level, four mappable performance pads and Serato/Rekordbox support. The CRSS12 will appeal to DJs who want to play a mixture of vinyl and digital, but it’ll also work perfectly for club installations, allowing a range of different DJs to play without needing to switch gear in the booth. You can find out more in the video above.
The Pioneer PLX-CRSS12 is available to pre-order now, priced at £1,199.
