The new model features improved digital connectivity and DC-coupled analogue outputs.

RME have announced an update to the 60-channel 802 USB interface. The 802 FS appears similar to the old 802, but RME point out that it’s based on a newly developed analogue and digital circuit board, featuring “updated high-tech components”. Key new features include two channels of S/PDIF I/O, SteadyClock FS and DC-coupled outputs. Otherwise, the FS retains all the features of the old 802, including TotalMix DSP, high-end pre-amps and low-latency conversion.
The RME FireFace 802 FS is available to pre-order now, priced at £1,819. We have one last FireFace 802 in stock, reduced to £1,547.
