The self-assembly synth becomes the entry-level option in Moog’s range, drawing on the brand’s iconic history.
Updated June 17th: read our full review of the Moog Mavis here.
New from Moog, the Mavis is a self-assembly analogue synth which distils Moog’s unparalleled history into an affordable new format. Like the discontinued Werkstatt-01 synth, the Mavis arrives as a kit of parts, which can be assembled without any specialist knowledge or soldering required.
The synth itself is relatively simple, with just one VCO, envelope generator, the legendary Moog low-pass filter and an LFO. It’s a patchable, semi-modular design compatible with the Eurorack format (you can even remove the unit from its case and fit it into a Eurorack case). It also features Moog’s first ever wave folder, helping you to create more complex tones. You can see more and hear it in action above.
The Moog Mavis is available now, priced at £337.99.
